| The Mission
of Compass is to proclaim and demonstrate the message
of Christ to Christians and non-Christians alike,
through experiential education in the outdoors.
Our goal is to parallel adventure activities such
as rock climbing, rappelling, river rafting, hiking
and camping in an applicable way to ones daily walk
with Christ. |

Compass Wilderness was founded
in 1997 by Lance Giles. Along with his wife
Courtney, they have followed God's guidance
in building a ministry that allows people
to gain a new and deeper understanding of
God's love and faithfulness through the use
of outdoor adventure activities. |

| In 2006, Steven Charles, pictured
with wife Kinsey, joined our full-time staff
as a director of Oklahoma operations. His
heart for people, passion for ministry and
love of the outdoors are the driving forces
in his life. |

| Compass
is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is governed
by a Board of Directors who are dedicated to fulfilling
the vision of Compass Wilderness. Our staff is the
heartbeat of our ministry. They allow groups to
safely participate in rock climbing, rappelling,
rafting, hiking and camping while teaching about
Christ through the activities. |
